DRIED CURD CHILLIES

Curd Chillies more popularly known as Mulagu Kondattam is a delicacy that is reminiscent of our childhood. Served as a substitute for pickle, this delicacy forms a part of the South Indian meals. The chillies are carefully handpicked at home and prepped in homemade yoghurt ensuring the kondattam is free from any preservatives or chemicals.

Dried curd chillies are marinated in yoghurt for several days to absorb the yoghurt and then air dried. The yoghurt tempers some of the spicy heat of the chillies which in turn develops into a tangy flavour.

Commonly eaten alongside dishes in substitute of pickle, the dried curd chillies garner a salty spicy flavour. Similar to dried red chillies the Mulaku kondattam can also be used for tadka too.
